The “Legyen szép és boldog a karácsony” (Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas) is a large-scale, festive double album, which is dedicated to fans of symphonic orchestral sound, popular music and last but not least Christmas songs. The over an hour-long recording, performed in Hungarian by Rezső Soltész, features evergreen compositions by John Lennon, Irving Berlin, Franz Schubert and others: Hát boldog karácsonyt (So This Is Christmas), Csendes éj (Silent Night), Ave Maria, O Tannenbaum, Csengő szól (Jingle Bell), Szép ünnep (White Christmas), Happy New Year (Abba) and many other popular Christmas tunes, which will provide an unforgettable listening experience for the listener in a unique symphonic double Christmas album.
Rezső Soltész’s double Christmas album was orchestrated by Béla Zsoldos. The recordings were performed by the Szeged Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sándor Gyüdi, pianist Jr. Róbert Rátonyi, and the VoiceStation vocal ensemble. The recording and mixing was done by Digital Pro studio.
